 Searching the Cuba On-Line database

This section provides tips on searching the site and other information to help you use the Cuba On-Line database.

Cuba On-Line's user-friendly interface will help you locate and access information regarding Cuba in several ways:

  1. Type a keyword or phrase into any designated search box and press the Search button to receive a list of results matching your entry.

  2. Follow the informational links in the Cuba Websites area to view a listing of other Cuba related sources.

Are you having trouble searching the site or finding the information you need? Use the tips below to improve your search results and get access to the information you are looking for.


    Tip # 1 - Be Specific

    When looking for something specific, try to be as exact as possible with your search terms. Use specific name references such as "Jose Marti" or "Bay of Pigs" to obtain a listing of all documents that contain references to these words.


    Tip # 2 - Finding General Topics

    When looking for general topics of interest, use words that represent the topic of interest. For example, to obtain statistical data on Cuba search for "statistics" or "economy". Use general names to obtain wider topics.


    Tip # 3 - Can't find the information
